Ethna was my husband’s only sister, they grew up together in Barbados until she departed for the U.S.A when she left a void in his life. He lived with the hope of seeing her again . in 1970 It materialized and we all spent many happy years with all the related family members but most of all with her and her family. both in U.S. And Barbados .Cooking Caribbean style was one of our past times together. We’ll miss you. ( Fred unfortunately is unwell )
(Fred Arthur his name which she used to call him)and V. Gwen Worrell.

Ethna was not only a first cousin, but she was a very close friend to my mother, Irene Murphy, and her family. In Queens, NY we all spent many fun hours together visiting, eating and laughing. When I was older and had my own children, the tradition continued in Fort Lauderdale where she and my parents lived on the same street. Even now, my children still endearingly refer to cousin Ethna as “cotton hair” because it was so soft. We miss her presence.

To The Family, I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I also want to share the comfort of John 5:28,29 where we are promised that those who have fallen asleep in death have the hope of receiving a “resurrection” back to life. Life on an earth restored to a beautiful paradise. Psalms 37:11 says, “The meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” While we await that wonderful time please find comfort in these promises. http://www.JW.org

My memories are of a sweet, smiling cousin, who could cook. My earliest memories were of me as a little girl, and her taking me out. I thought of her as Granny’s daughter. Love her, and will always remember those days, when families lived close and could be together. My love to her daughter Michelle, and her brothers(known to me, in days gone by, as the little devils).
