Obituary of David Parrott
It is with tremendously heavy and aching hearts the family of David Parrott, 33, share that he went home into the arms of our loving God on August 27, 2018 after a horrible car accident.
Surviving are the great loves of David’s life: his wife Katy Marie Parrott; his legacy, daughter Olive Grace Marie Parrott; and his beloved Chicago Cubs. Family include parents Dale and Debra Parrott; grandmother Mary Henkler. His siblings, Jolee Parrott, Matthew (Autumn) Parrott, Dana (Matthew) Metzger, Justin (Lisa) Parrott and Anthony (Emily) Parrott. David was The Cool Uncle and much adored by his 17 nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his parents-in-law Bill and Sue Turner; siblings-in-law Christopher Turner, Michael Turner, Megan Turner; and grandparents-in-law Bunga & Pappa Lacey.
Everyone who knew David loved his tenacity, energy, and smart-ass sense of humor. He lit up every room he entered, just like his flowing locks of beautiful man-hair. (Eh-ohhhh!) He attended Indiana University and was naturally good at everything – singing, drumming, skateboarding, surfing, soccer, softball – but excelled most in his roles of trophy husband and Best Daddy in the World. David loved and happily served everyone except the St. Louis Cardinals.
David was an active and compassionate member of his community and local church, Centerpointe Church in Palm Bay. His love for the Lord compelled him to serve and assist others.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 1 at 1:00 p.m. his service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Centerpointe Church, 891 Copley Street, SE Palm Bay.
In lieu of flowers, you may honor David’s memory with a donation to the following:
Brevard Family Partnership: our local foster care organization. David always wanted to offer his love to children in need and hoped to adopt in the future.
Back2Back Ministries: David’s sister, Dana and her family, are missionaries serving orphans in Mazatlán, Mexico through Back2Back Ministries. Recently their family adopted two beautiful girls to add to his overflowing love for his nieces and nephews.
Coastal Boxer Rescue: David and Katy have a wonderful boxer, Sophia, and loved offering their love for animals in need. Together they have helped foster 3 boxers by offering a home of love and healing.
