Obituary of David T. Moore

David T. Moore, 86, formerly of Pawtucket, RI passed away on May 14, 2024 in Melbourne, Florida.

Born in Central Falls, he raised his family in Pawtucket before retiring to Florida thirty years ago.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Rhode Island College (RIC), and a master’s degree in guidance and counseling from Bridgewater State College in MA. He built his professional career in the Cumberland School Department first as a teacher, then guidance counselor, and lastly as principal in several Cumberland schools, retiring after 28 years.

During his time at RIC he was a varsity basketball and soccer player, and was inducted into the RIC Sports Hall of Fame in 2011. He was a proud member of the Grand Masonic Lodge of RI.

He is survived by his three children, Susan Moore, Kathryn McBride and her husband Robert, and Jeffrey Moore; his three grandchildren, Nicole Bradford and her husband Stephen, Alex Moore and his fiancé Jenna, and Jordan McBride; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Bradford.
