Obituary of Michael John Decker

Michael John Decker, 63, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on May 1, 2024. He was born on September 22, 1960, in Washington D.C. Michael was a loving husband to Jill, a devoted father to Christina, Michael, and Samantha, and a doting grandfather to Leo, Mya, Ben, Emma, Amelie, and Tyler. He is also survived by his mother and father, Pamela and Neil Stern.

With a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Germany, Michael had a strong educational background. He attended North Bethesda Elementary for his primary education and Walter Johnson High for high school.

Michael served in the Army from August 22, 1979, to August 6, 1985, where he demonstrated his dedication to his country. After his military service, he pursued a career as a CNC machinist, showcasing his skills and expertise in the field.

Known for his lively and caring nature, Michael was described as a true friend and a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. His sense of humor and kindness touched the lives of many.

A celebration of life for Michael will be held on May 25, 2024, from 1-3PM at the American Legion Post 394, located at 396 Cogan Dr. in Palm Bay, FL 32909. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in his honor.

The Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care, located at 950 Malabar Rd SW, Palm Bay, FL 32907, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
