Obituary of Patricia Julie Renaudette

It is with immense sorrow that we share the devastating news of Patricia Renaudette's sudden passing. Patricia had a vibrant, lively spirit that brightened the lives of all who knew her. Her warm smile, sparkling blue eyes, infectious enthusiasm, and unwavering love filled those around her with joy and light. Her untimely departure has left a void where her presence once brought so much sunshine to the world. Born on November 27, 1941, in Hartford, CT our beloved Patricia, affectionately known as Pat or Mema, spent her childhood on her parents' dairy farm in North Granby, CT. It was in this serene setting that she discovered the joy found in life's simple pleasures. With each passing day on the farm, she cultivated a deep appreciation for the beauty that surrounded her, a value that would become the compass guiding her remarkable life's journey. Pat leaves behind a beautiful legacy of cherished memories and deep connections. Her world revolved around her devoted family - her son Steven Phelon and daughter-in-law Sandy, daughter Kathleen Brooks and son-in-law Alan, and her beloved granddaughter and shopping companion, Megan Phelon, who were the lights of her life. Pat held a special place in the hearts of her three stepchildren - Tammy Lehoux, Joe Renaudette, and James Renaudette - and their families. Her sister Lois Fitch, brother-in-law Fred, sister-in-law Virginia Monteith, and her new puppy Sofie, were also dear to her heart. Pat is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband George Renaudette, former husband Richard Phelon, brother Tom Monteith, parents John and Carolyn (Coffey) Monteith, and her cherished pup Heidi. Her life was a tapestry woven with the threads of love, family, and cherished bonds that will forever be remembered. After dedicating over 30 years to her career at Robert E. Morris, Pat embraced retirement in Melbourne, FL, with open arms. She immersed herself in the activities and communities that brought her happiness, becoming an active member of the Red Hat Ladies and Crossroads United Church of Christ. Pat treasured her weekly lunches and bunco games with her closest friends, where laughter and camaraderie filled the air. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore the world, but her heart held a special fondness for the emerald landscapes of Ireland. Amidst her travels, Pat's greatest joys were the moments spent with her loved ones. She delighted in the semi-annual getaways to Celebration with her daughter and granddaughter, creating memories that will forever be etched in their hearts. And whenever possible, Pat looked forward to the annual Fourth of July family picnic, a beloved tradition that brought her immense happiness. Pat was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose zest for life touched many. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in our hearts, guiding us through the darkness of this difficult time. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we take comfort in the knowledge that her spirit will continue to inspire us to live life to the fullest, just as she did. Rest in peace, dear Mema. Your love and light will never be forgotten.

A service honoring Pat's life will take place at Crossroads United Church of Christ, located at 1621 Lake Washington, Melbourne, FL, on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 11:30 a.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 13, 2024 starting at 1:00 p.m., at the Southwick Meeting House (formerly the Baptist Church), situated at 222 College Highway, Southwick, MA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to either the Southwick Animal Shelter (11 Depot St, Southwick, MA 01077) or Crossroads United Church of Christ.
