Obituary of Judith Elizabeth Jones

Our dear Judith (Judy) Elizabeth Jones passed away at home on Saturday, April 13, 2024. She graces this world on June 26, 1961, at Unity Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, bring joy and warmth to all around her. Alongside her beloved mother, Lios Faith Jones, she journeyed from Brooklyn to Laurelton, New York during her high school years, leaving a trail of laughter and love wherever she went.

After graduating from Flushing High School in June 1978, Judy joined the US Navy. She later worked as a Corrections Officer ar Rikers Island Correctional Facility in East Elmhurst, New York, displaying strength and compassion in equal measure. 

In 1995, Judy and her found a new home in Melbourne, Florida, where they embraced life's adventures together. A cherished member of the First Baptist Church of Melbourne, Judy's spirit shone brightly in every interaction, her laughter filling the room as she amused friends and family with her witty humor.

Survived by her loving mother, Lois Faith Jones, her father, Gerald Bernard Jones and his wife Tonya, her sister Lisa Barksdale(Ammon) her brother Jared(Melissa), along with a host of aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Judy leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure through the ages.

With her infectious laughter and boundless love, Judy touched the hearts of all who knew her. Though she may be physically absent, her presence will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with her love and laughter. Judy will be dearly missed, yet her memory will continue to bring comfort and joy to all who were blessed to know her.
