Obituary of Carol Lynn Ingram

 

Carol Lynn Ingram, age 63, passed away on April 16, 2024.

She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend.

 

Carol was born on September 27, 1960, as the seventh child out of ten. Carol touched the lives of thousands through her tireless support of cancer patients, raising millions of dollars for Relay For Life, and advocating for cancer research and health care in front of Congress. Known for her gift of helping others, Carol lived by the motto "Others before self." Carol is fondly remembered as one of the strongest people ever, having overcome cancer three times. Carol's philosophy of living life as if it was an extraordinary party will be carried on by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is remembered for her joyous spirit, often exclaiming, "Last one in the water is a rotten egg!" Carol was passionate about helping others, Dragon Boat racing, and making a difference with the willingness to always “go the last mile.”

 

Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Ingram, her father, Robert M. Collins, her mother, Beverly K. Collins, and her brother, Kevin R. Collins.

 

She is survived by her loving son, Kyle W. Roberts, whom she cherished more than life itself. She is also survived by her siblings: Nancy (Karl Eisler), Chris (Cheryl Collins), Roberta Maxson, Larry (Lorraine Collins), Greg (Lisa Collins), Constance Collins, (Carol Collins), Gordon (Yvonne Collins), and Jeramie (Kathleen Collins). Carol is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews: Logan, Elliot, Chris, Kim, Jason, Marty, Tony, Robyn, Emily, Roberto, Robert, Rebecca, Jamie DeAnne, Megan, Ryan, Samantha, Kendall, Peter, and Kevin; as well as Beth, Glen, and Brian.

 

A memorial in honor of Carol's life will be held on June 8th, 2024, at noon at 903 Riverside Dr, Melbourne Beach, Florida.

 

Carol's genuine and contagious smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
