Obituary of Gwendolyn Sue Withrow

Gwendolyn S. Withrow, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend passed away on April 5th, 2024 in Palm Bay, Florida. She was born on June 14th, 1959 in Charleston, West Virginia to loving parents Starling and Joyce Janney who instilled in her a strong sense of compassion and dedication.

Gwen's life was marked by love and service to others. As an LPN Nurse at Holmes Regional Hospital, where unbeknownst to her she met her future father in-law Thomas Withrow while working at Holmes Regional Hospital coronary care unit. She left the hospital to follow a different career path. After graduating from Brevard Community College Correction Academy, she went on to work as a security officer at United Space Alliance Space shuttle program.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 40 yrs. David Withrow; their son Ricky Withrow; sisters Teresa (Terry) Kuscisk and Starla (David) Parsons; four beautiful grandchildren Ryder Martin, Lexie Rose, Jensen Kia, and Phoenyx Marie; and Mother In-law Mary (Charlie) Bigwitch, sister-in-law Angela (Pat) Malerk, 3 nephews: Tommy (Tamala) Malerk, Corey Parsons, Cody Parsons. 4 nieces: Heidi (Jim) Tolentino, Jaime (Tony) Bellomo, Allison (Nate) Charbonneau and Brittany Parsons. Gwen's memory will forever live on through each and every one of them.

Gwen's family would like to thank the Emergency room and the first and second shift ICU Department at Palm Bay Hospital. They helped her in her time and need, and helped make her journey into heaven a loving, painless and easy trip.

Gwen had requested that there not be any funeral services and instead of flowers people donate to Brevard Humane Society, Local Animal shelter or consider adopting a pet that is in need of a forever home.
