Obituary of Kerry Lynn Karnetsky
Kerry Lynn Karnetsky, 61, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away on April 3, 2024.
He was born on September 3, 1962. Kerry was a loving husband, an awesome girl dad, and a devoted dog dad. He was known for his humor, kindness, and love for his family.
Kerry served in the United States Marine Corps from 1980 to 2003. He retired as a First Sergeant. Following his military service, he dedicated himself to a career at the United States Postal Service until 2024. In his free time, Kerry enjoyed fishing, woodworking, playing with his dogs, and catching up on sleep.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Karnetsky; daughters, Nicole Karnetsky and Jamie Woods (Drew); granddaughter, Cali Karnetsky; brothers, Kris Karnetsky (Erin) and Kenny Karnetsky (Michelle); niece, Amber Schaefer; nephews, Kelly Karnetsky; Caleb Karnetsky; Collin Keener; Justin Happ (Riley); Garrett Happ; dog, Roxy. Kerry was preceded in death by his father, Henry Karnetsky; mother, Mary Karnetsky; brothers, Kevin Karnetsky and Keith Karnetsky; sister, Karen Schaefer; and dogs, Maggie and Shadow, Prince; and cats, Patsey, Rocky and Braxton.
A ceremony to honor Kerry's life will be held on May 2, 2024, at 1:00pm at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Save a Life Pet Rescue at https://savealifepetrescue.org/donate.
