Obituary of Michael Galvin Moore
Michael Galvin Moore of Palm Bay, Florida, formerly of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 30th at the age of 57.
A graduate of Melbourne Central Catholic and the University of Central Florida, Michael worked as a software engineer, most recently for Northrop Grumman. A devout Catholic and man of many talents, he often volunteered his vocal and guitar playing skills at weekly church services.
Michael was a great cook, who loved any occasion that called for food and family. He was a reluctant cat dad, but could often be found with a cat in his lap. He played any game his kids would ask him to and he loved to laugh. We will always remember him for his sense of humor, good nature, and devotion to his wife, Lenay, and their three children.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Moore (2018). He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lenay, and their three children Nick, Sammy, and Joseph of Palm Bay, Florida. He is also survived by his mother, Sandra Moore of Merritt Island, FL; his brother, Robert (Lien) Moore of Huntsville, AL and sisters Colleen (Mike) Sham of Merritt Island, FL, Teresa (Ronnie) Johnson of Gulfport, MS, Kathy Moore of Villas, NJ, and Anne Marie (Fraser) McGill of San Francisco, CA; along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on April 10th at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care in Melbourne. His funeral mass will be held at 1 pm on April 11th at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne, followed by a celebration of life.
