Obituary of Joan F. Kuntz

Joan F. Kuntz, 91 died peacefully at home with her family on December 13, 2023. She was a follower of Christ and is for eternity with her father in heaven. She knew the Lord at an early age & was active in the church her whole life.

Born in Pittsburg, PA on July 2, 1932. Joan grew up in Detroit, MI. They moved to FL in 1960. She raised four children. Working as an agent at a travel agency she had fun traveling. Two trips to Israel were a highlight of her life. She was married to Bill Kuntz for 43 years and farmed Kuntz Farms with him in Kokomo, Indiana. They were snowbirds until they retired in 2000.

She loved living at the Lakes of Melbourne and took advantage of all the activities that were offered. She loved bridge and was in many clubs. Cards, bingo, golf, bowling, and travel kept her busy. Every time she came thru the gates she would say how happy she was living there. Walmart was her Happy Place. Especially in the cosmetic department. Birthday wishes always included a trip to the casino. She had fun playing the slots. In her last months, she even enjoyed hitting the pickleball!

Most of all she was the matriarch of our family. We could talk and share anything with her and we did. Attended by our big family she hosted all the holidays year after year. Everyone was always welcome. She had an opinion and suggestions for all things big and small.

Joan was fun, kind, loving, and gorgeous with her nails and her purple hair and makeup just so. People young and old used to compliment her on her purple hair every time we left the house.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Worthington (Jack), Susan Paxton, David Panizza (Judy), Penny Houser (Tom), 5 grandchildren Cristie Panciza (Joe), David Panizza Jr., (April), Steele Paxton, Grant Houser (Reseline), Nicole Murawski (Brandon), 5 great-grandchildren, her sister Christine Biggs, nieces, nephews & extended family in Indiana, Washington, Kentucky.
