Cynthia Janne (Patterson) Wagner of West Melbourne, FL, died at William Childs Hospice House (Palm Bay, FL) on January 15, 2024.
She was born in Fort Madison, IA on March 14, 1952 to E.A. (Pat) and Eilene Patterson.She graduated from Fort Madison High School in 1970 and from the University of Northern Iowa in 1974. Her career focused on teaching Life Science at Longs Peak Junior High (later L.P. Middle School) in Longmont, Colorado, coaching girls’ basketball, and earning a Master's Degree. She was an enthusiastic member of the worship ministry at LifeBridge Christian Church in Longmont.
After her retirement, she and her husband, Bob, moved to West Melbourne, FL where they both enjoyed ministering to seafarers at Canaveral Port Ministry. Besides her passion for the Lord (both at Ministry and at Calvary Chapel), Cindy enjoyed introducing her friends and family to Kennedy Space Center, rocket launches, and Disney World. She loved being with family and friends and always greeted them with her lovely smile as she welcomed and hosted them in her home.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob Wagner, her brother, Randy Patterson, and her brother-in-law, Dan McGuire.
She is survived by her sister, Patti McGuire of Oak Ridge, TN, nieces Melissa (Ed) Dumas and Holly (Rice) Cross, great niece Natalie (Clark) Ward and great nephew Daniel (Natalie) Cross, all of Oak Ridge, TN. Other close relatives include Tammy (Brad) Grauberger, Becky (Rick) Lowry, Amanda and Bryant Lowry.
Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care of Melbourne, FL, is in charge of the arrangements.
No official memorial service is scheduled at this time, but perhaps friends in various parts of the country might like to meet together to celebrate Cindy.
