Obituary of Frances Ann Bird

 

Frances A. Bird, age 90, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Viera Hospital.

 

She was born in April 1933 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Victor and Esterina Dalpias of Cloz, Italy. 

 

Frances was a registered nurse whose career spanned several decades in labor and delivery. She traveled throughout Europe with her husband of 66 years, Donald E. Bird, and their four daughters, as an Air Force wife. She and Don traveled across the United States in an RV for several years following her retirement.

 

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Donald, and her eldest daughter, Kathleen Dylla, MD.

 

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Hedrick (Nash John), Eileen Davis (Gregory), Beverly Dunnigan (Edward) and brother Jerry Dalpias. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

 

Internment will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery Friday, February 16, 2024 at 1:00 PM.
