Steve Monroe

Obituary of Steve Monroe

Steve Monroe, 50, was born May 8th, 1973 in Erie, Pa. to Sally and the late Douglas Monroe. On Saturday, January 6, 2024 God called him home after six hours in surgery at Holmes Regional Heart Unit.

Steve is survived by his mother, Sally, sisters Regina Monroe, Monica Monroe, and nephew Nathan Monroe.

Steve graduated from Brevard Christian School in 1992. He worked as a material manager for 25 years at MC Assembly. He turned to being a security guard after seeing family men being laid off with no notice. This bothered him deeply.

Working at Peraton he loved his job and the people. He cared about them and I feel they appreciated him also.

Steve was the most loving, caring, patient son and I always was so proud of him. If you knew Steve, you liked him.

He loved and was a member of Pt. Malabar Rifle Club. He was an excellent marksman with his guns and cross-bow. He loved kayaking and always wanted to go whitewater rafting. He loved working on old cars and could do a lot of work on them, especially Lincolns.

A service dedicated to him will be held on January 21, 2024 at 10:15 A.M. at Heritage Baptist Church 700 Hollywood Blvd. West Melbourne, FL 32904.
