Obituary of Rita R. Weissman

Rita Weissman, 92, passed away January 5th. 2024. She was an inspiration to her family and friends. During her life she worked as a nurse (RN), nursing supervisor, teacher (BS in Elementary Education), and counselor  (MS in Counseling and Guidance).

Rita was predeceased by her husband: Edward Weissman, son: Joseph Etter, and four siblings - Vera Robusto (Burlin), John Robusto, Lucy Robusto, and Anthony Robusto.

Surviving family members include: daughter Rita Darlington (Thomas) and grandchildren Dawn and Eric, daughter Jeannie Coulson (David) and grandchildren Chloe and Connor, daughter-in-law Carol Etter and grandchildren Joseph (Lauren) Etter and Jessica (Robert) Wallace and their children; sister Matilda Delman; and brother Leonard (Sally) Robusto.

Her many friends, nephews, nieces and students will remember a woman who lived life and always tried to spread joy in whatever she did.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 North Harbor City Boulevard, Melbourne. Interment with Rita’s husband Edward will follow at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery,
