Obituary of Frank P. Nelson

Frank P. Nelson, Born January11, 1924 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania and passed on November 29, 2023.

He was predeceased by his son Rk (daughter in law Carol Nelson).

He was survived by his daughter Cindy Dilavore(Peter), Grandchildren Sara(Jack), Christie(Marc), Brad, Kellie(Amanda), Rk. Great Grandchildren Cayla(John), Jake.

Frank enlisted in the Army Air Corp right out of High School, then he went to school for air traffic control.

He lived in Alaska from 1963 to 2008, where he worked for the FAA in Anchorage. He relocated to Florida in 2008 to be closer to family and live out his remaining years.

To most he was "Knarf."

He was best remembered for his humor. He had jokes a plenty to make you smile whenever you would meet up with him. He wanted to make it to his 100th Birthday and missed by only a few weeks. He was a great Father and one of the last of the "Greatest Generation" serving WWII.

There will be a private celebration of his life January 11, 2024
