After working for my family's company for twenty-one years right out of college, I decided it was time to make some drastic changes to my career. I had considered real estate for quite a few years and determined that was my calling. But how does one begin an entirely new life? How does one with a wife and two young children make such a leap from financial stability to an unknown future? I was nervous, and frankly scared to make the change. Then I met Betty and my whole world changed for the better. She immediately brought me under her wing. Through her wisdom and guidance, I shot to the top 1% in my first year. This remarkable achievement would never have been possible without her by my side. It is impossible for me to express in words my gratitude for her being the catalyst that helped me start a new life at the age of forty. I feel privileged to have known her and honored to be considered a friend.
Betty was the exemplary model of Southern grace and charm... and a humorously quick wit. I miss those afternoons sitting in her office and listening to her wise advice. I miss those constant encouraging words; Encouragement I had never heard from anyone before I met Betty. I miss the hilarious times we had packed in her car traveling to and from open houses. Betty, you are missed by many but have changed the lives of many more for the better.
Eternal rest grant unto Betty, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May she rest in peace.
Amen.

I am very sorry to hear. She was always a beautiful and gracious lady. I also enjoyed talking with her. She was patient and helpful teaching me about Real Estate. I never heard her say a bad word about anyone. She was kind and respectful to everyone she met. She will be missed.

Betty was the second person I met when I moved to Melbourne in 1978. Ever the smartest, sweet woman you would ever have the pleasure to meet, Betty was there to lend an ear and a helping hand. Fast forward to 2002 when I came to Betty and joined her McCluskey Realty office. I have never regretted a moment working with her. She was a wonderful mentor and friend. I will miss our frequent phone calls to stay in touch even after she retired. Rest, sweet Miss Betty, till we meet again. Love you dearly.
