Obituary of George Arnold Samuel
George Arnold Samuel was born in Trinidad, West Indies on May 10, 1937, to the late Norman David Samuel and Veneta Charles Samuel.
On Saturday, November 26, 2023, George peacefully passed away at William Childs Hospice. George was one of twelve children, two of whom preceded him in death, Michael and Pamela.
He migrated to New York in the late 1960s where he enjoyed a successful career as a salesman until his retirement in the 2000’s. He met and married Lethea Samuel who preceded him in death. From that union, they had five children Lester, Richard, Lisa, Arnold, and Lynn. He also has a son in Trinidad named Roger.
George later married his long-time love Annette Fagan on July 7, 2021. Where he gained a stepson Thomas Fagan.
He was a dedicated member of First Melbourne Baptist Church where he loved to meet and greet people.
He prioritized physical fitness and loved lifting weights until his health deteriorated. He will be missed for his love of family, generosity and kindness.
He is survived by his second wife; his six children; his eight siblings, Luther, Joe, Stokely, Gavin (the late), Michael, Clayton, Gerard, Stephanie, Angela, Marilyn, Bernice (the late), Pamela (the late) and Monica (predeceased); a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and twelve in-laws.
He leaves a legacy that will be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know him. As we mourn his earthly absence, we find solace in the knowledge that he is now present with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 11:00 at First Baptist Church of Melbourne 3301 Dairy Road, Melbourne, Florida.
