Dear Nancy and Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences on your earthly loss. I remember so well when you came to San Diego and we met Dave for the first time. I also remember your comment "those two talk like they have known each other from kindergarten" which was a very true comment. Mike thoroughly enjoyed their conversation. They talked up a storm and it was our privilege to have met Dave. And, thank you for your kind thoughts when I lost Mike. May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hands and His never ending peace sustain you during this time of your loss and in the days ahead. You are daily in my thoughts and prayers.
Love Sue

I was so sorry to hear of Dave's passing! Dave was a fine gentleman whom I feel fortunate to have known. He and Nancy were part of our original Misty Creek family, sharing many good times together! My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy and family at this difficult time. God bless you all.

I knew Dave for two short years but in that time I found he was a kind man with a quick wit. We enjoyed talking about growing vegetables and I thought his "self watering plant contraption" was amazing! He always had a treat for my dog, Jameson, and would often come to the fence calling for him. "Hey Jamie! Come out and say hello!" Dave will be dearly missed.
Yours truly,
Kim Hardee

The many faces of Dave. I remember many times (especially when I was his euchre partner) when I got “The Look” from Dave.

We have many special memories of ‘papa Dave’ with our kids. One memory was when we were all in Texas for Rick and Suzy’s wedding. Dave and Nancy volunteered to watch all the grandkids one night so we could all go out. Nicolette was just 2 and when they put her to sleep she kept popping up her head to say ‘hi Papa’. He was always so playful with the kids. Rob and I enjoyed playing cards and going out to dinner with Dave and Nancy up north and in Florida.
Rest in peace Dave. You will be missed.

Dave had the one of a kind smile with a little wink. Our family always felt loved in his presence. A favorite memory is when Bill and I lived with Dave and Nancy as we were building our house in Macomb Township, we spent a few nights learning to dance in the Reiss kitchen! Lots of laughs. He also loved our cat Rocko who lived in his home too! Rest in peace Dave.
