Della (Dee) Gamerl

Della (Dee) Gamerl, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away peacefully Sunday, 26 November, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Dee was born in Omaha, Nebraska on March 9, 1926 to Lawrence and Mary Jacobson. She was married to Robert (Bob) Gamerl, Sr. for 61 years until his passing in 2004.

The family moved from Omaha to Melbourne in 1956 where Dee was busy raising five children and supporting the family home construction business.

After retiring she and Bob spent 11 happy years in Hiawassee, GA then returned to Melbourne to be near family and friends.

Dee always had a kind word for everyone and was loved by all. She enjoyed her family immensely and enjoyed spending time with her beloved sister, Judy.

Dee was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert Gamerl, Sr., brothers, Lawrence, Ray, Jerry and sister Judy (Harwick) as well as granddaughter Lindsay, great-granddaughter Kayla and great-great grandson Cayden.

She is survived by her children Dianne (Dan Van Eperen), Robert Jr. (Nimi), Gary (Nancy), Jan (Doug MacArthur), David (Sandra) and daughter-in-law Bobbie, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren as well as many loved nieces, nephews and extended family.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
