Obituary of MSGT John "Terry" Dargan Jr.
Msgt John Dargan Jr Retired AF kept his final appointment on Sept. 8th 2023. He was the firstborn to Hallie and John Dargan Sr. in Philadelphia, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jerome Dargan, his stepdaughter Felicia Cathy Miller, and his stepson Javares Miller.
John was a proud veteran and a loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan. He loved listening to Carlos Santana and watching Tombstone the movie, his favorite line from Tombstone was "I'm your huckleberry." John loved his family, his kids, his grandkids, great-grands, and great-great-grands, unfortunately, he did not get to meet all.
He had a fun and unusual sense of humor he did not smile often but when he did it was beautiful and captivating. The only song he sang at karaoke was Rainy Night in GA.
He loved dancing to "The Dog" which he and Fred Lee mastered.
John loved and enjoyed being with his grandkids who referred to him as Pop Pop especially the younger three who had a special relationship with him.
He loved, was strong, and also stubborn, he loved living and understood his worth.
John leaves behind Francis his wife, the woman he shared his life with for 58 years, and his children; Carla, Terrell, John (Kwana) Howard, Tamiko (Patrick), Jamel (Devon), and stepson Earl Miller. His brother Karl Dragan (Gail), sister Laura Jackson, grandchildren, great-grands, and great great grand. Friends in Tampa and Patrick AFB and surrounding areas. Nephews & Nieces and cousins.
John "Terry" will be missed and memories will live on.
"I'll be looking at the moon but I'll be seeing "you."
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Patrick AFB Tides Beach Club 1001 S A1A Highway, Patrick Space Force Base, Florida
