Obituary of Cynthia Jane Temple

The family of Cynthia Jane Temple (Cindi) sadly announce her passing on October 2nd, 2023 after a valiant battle with breast cancer.

She is survived by her two children Timothy Temple (Jestine), Robin Temple (Darren), grandchildren Benjamin and Abigail. She is also survived by her two siblings, Matt Boman and Susan LaFontaine (Steve). She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joel Boman.

Born on June 11th, 1955 in Anderson, Indiana to Benjamin and Betty (Clark) Boman. Cindi then moved with her family of 6 to their forever home in Satellite Beach, FL. She spent her early years working in food service enabling her to move around the country to places like Colorado, California, and North Carolina. Around 1990, Cindi started working for Rockwell Collins until retiring in 2015. Cindi spent these years raising her family in Micco, FL. She was the mastermind behind many family camping trips and fun outdoor adventures. After retirement, Cindi hit the road for Mt. Ranier National Park with her daughter Robin to embark on one of her many adventures into the wild.

Throughout her working life Cindi indulged in her zeal for camping and was quite the camper extraordinaire. Self-sufficient, off the beaten path, and sometimes the whole grid she reveled in her explorations of woods, streams, springs, and prairies throughout the U.S. Her love for the outdoors spilled into her children, taking them, many amazing places and she was so proud of that. She was an amazing mother with a giant heart and was so overjoyed to welcome her 2 grandbabies.

Some of Cindi’s passions were bird watching, kayaking, sewing, arts and crafts and for the last few years of her life spending time with her grandchildren. Cindi loved spending time with her family and friends around the dinner table eating good food and having meaningful conversation. She loved music and singing along to Bonnie Raitt with sister Susie and friends. Cindi proudly declared herself a “bleeding heart liberal” and passionately advocated for what she believed in. She cherished the gift of lifelong friendship, some friendships stemming as early as Delaura Jr High and Satellite High school (73).
