Obituary of Michael Louis Wademan
Michael Louis Wademan, 76, of Palm Bay, FL passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 21, 2023, after a difficult battle with lung cancer.
Michael was born on February 22, 1947, to Louis and Sylvia Wademan in Syracuse, NY. After graduating from Liverpool High School, he went on to serve in the United States Air Force as an aircraft and helicopter mechanic. Michael then enjoyed a successful career as a manufacturing engineer until his retirement.
In 2003, Michael and Nancy Koehl were wed. He immediately gained four bonus daughters that he loved and cared for deeply. There was an immediate assimilation and connection that forever bonded them together.
Anyone who knew Michael knew that he was the most loving father and spouse a family could ask for. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Whether donning his yearly Halloween costume, traveling for hours to various sporting events, or simply hanging out, He made it a point to be present in all our lives. He enjoyed spending time each summer with the family at the cottage on Chaumont Bay in upstate NY.
Michael, aka “Chicken Mike” loved golfing, fishing, and camping. Otherwise, he could be found in his shed or yard tinkering and enjoying the outdoors while watching airplanes, various backyard critters, raising chickens, or tending to his plants and vegetables. Michael equally enjoyed friends and family and could be found attending events for his grandchildren while fitting in time to golf and tell stories and jokes at the Legion. His impression on those around him will carry on for many years to come.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Sylvia Wademan of Liverpool, NY. He is survived by his wife Nancy Wademan, brother Gary, sisters Gail and Wendy, son Ron, and daughters Karen, Tina, Terri Lynn, Tiffany, and Tonya. In addition, he will be missed by his grandchildren, Seth, DJ, Cameron, Corinne, Chloe, Alex, Alyssa, Brianna, Kasey, Kendall, and Kayleigh.
