Obituary of James Begley

James B Begley,90, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away September 14, 2023, at Vitas Hospice House in Rockledge. 

Jim was born in Eidson, Tennessee to Henley and Elizabeth Begley on April 17, 1933 He served in the United States Army for 26 years, retiring as a Chief Warrant officer. He received numerous medals and badges in his career. 

Jim was a wonderful role model to his grandchildren. 

Jim is survived by his wife of 62 years, Charlotte Begley. Daughters Rebecca Begley, Shelly (Begley) Duff and her husband Larry Duff and Tammy (Begley) Smith. Grandchildren Amber Anderson, Jonathon Begley-Yeary, Andrew (AJ) Smith, Anika Duff and Gillian Duff. Numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Henley Begley, Mother Elizabeth Price. Sisters Ruth, Wilma and Bobbie. Brothers Charles(Bud) and Harold. 

Graveside services with military honors will be held on October 10, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. 

In lieu of cut flowers, the family requests potted plants to be planted in Jim’s memory.
