Obituary of Dominick Joseph Celinski
Dominick Joseph Celinski, 48, passed away peacefully on September 8th, 2023. Nick was born in Nesconset, NY on July 30th, 1975 to George and Joanne Celinski. Nick attended Smithtown High School East in St. James, NY before heading off to college at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina State University.
Nick’s true passion in life was skydiving, which took him all over the country, including New York, North Carolina, Nevada, and California, before settling down in Titusville, FL. In addition to competing in various skydiving competitions and exhibitions, Nick was also a tandem skydiving instructor, which enabled thousands of his students to fulfill their “bucket-list” dream of skydiving. All told, Nick had almost 10,000 jumps in his skydiving career.
Above all, Nick will be remembered for his generosity and willingness to help his friends and family with any project or endeavor, small or large. If you needed a helping hand, Nick was always ready to jump right in, particularly when it came to carpentry, a skill he learned from his father.
Nick is survived by his parents, George and Joanne Celinski, and his brother and his wife, Ben and Jennifer Celinski, in addition to hundreds of friends and relatives across the country who will always remember Nick’s generous nature.
Nick’s ashes will be dispersed over the “drop zone” at the Titusville airport so that his memory and spirit will always be in the wind. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
