Obituary of Ruth Anne Lamborghini
Ruth Anne Lamborghini, a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, passed away on August 15, 2023 at the age of 86. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 28, 1937. She graduated from Wilbur Wright High School (Dayton) in 1955 and went to work at National Cash Register in a clerical position, starting what would be a 30+ year career at NCR. In 1970 she became a Certified Professional Secretary (CPS).
Ruth Anne married Douglas Pippin of Dayton on August 2, 1958 and had a son Mark in 1961. Ruth Anne and Douglas divorced late in 1963.
While working full time, in her forties, Ruth Anne earned an Associate Degree in Business from Sinclair Community College, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree and Master of Business Administration from the University of Dayton. After graduating, she moved into a Financial Analyst position at NCR before leaving Dayton to take a position in California in 1987.
In 1988, Ruth Anne moved to Melbourne, Florida and worked in positions with Global Atmospherics and with the Brevard Art Center and Museum. She was also a volunteer counselor at Pregnancy Resources, and later became its Financial Director. It was in Melbourne that she met and married James Lamborghini on August 31, 1991, and they enjoyed an almost 30 year marriage before Jim’s death early in 2021. Her favorite Bible verse was Psalm 143:8 – “Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.”
Ruth Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Carl C. and Pearl S. Werner, a brother Paul Werner and sisters Sylvia Heck and Joyce Manuel, as well as her beloved husband Jim. She is survived by her son, Mark Pippin (Tania) and three grandchildren - Roya Ritchson, SFC Daniel Pippin (US Army) and Ella Rosborough (John). She is also survived by her brother David (Marlene) and Jim’s children – Alison Gilchrist (Alan) and David Lamborghini (Helen), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, August 18, at Ammen Family Funeral Care, 1001 S. Hickory St., Melbourne. The funeral service is on Saturday, August 19, at 2 pm at Heritage Baptist Church, 700 Hollywood Blvd., West Melbourne, followed by burial at Florida Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
