Obituary of Anne H. Walters

Anne H. Walters, 92, passed away on Thursday, July 27th, 2023.

Anne Walters was born in Pike County, Alabama, and graduated from Troy University in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education . Immediately after graduation, she married Robert C. Walters who passed away in 2012. She taught elementary school in Florida and Alabama before moving to Brevard County in 1959 to teach at Merritt Island Elementary School, which was later renamed MILA Elementary School,. She earned her master's degree from Troy University in 1965 and continued teaching at MILA until her retirement in 1990.

A quiet woman who loved to read and garden, she is survived by her four children, Robert (Marleen) Walters, Nancy (Randall) Sumpter, Gail Chapman, and Julia Walters.
