Obituary of Thomas John O'Hara

Thomas John O’Hara, better known as T.J., 53, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Rockledge Regional Medical Center.

T.J. was born October 20, 1969 to Richard and Jennifer O’Hara in Norwalk, CT. He attended Henry Abbott Technical High School in Danbury CT in the Electrical program and graduated in 1987. After high school, he worked for a handful of companies as an Electrician
including his own company, T.J. O’Hara Electrical Contractor, LLC. He lived in CT for most of his life until 2019 when he moved to Florida.

T.J. loved to fish, hunt, blast country music on his radio and drink his favorite beer. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge 1717 in Cocoa. He’d talk to anyone who would listen,and always did everything with the best of intentions. He had a heart of gold, and would give his shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a father, a brother, a son, a grandfather, and a good-hearted friend and will be missed by many.

He is predeceased by his Mother, Jennifer O’Hara (Pope). He is survived by his Father and his wife, Richard (Rit) and Susan O’Hara, daughters Kaitlyn (Austin) and Rebecca (Steven), his son Matthew, his brother Jeff (Tracey), his niece and nephew Ashleigh and Joey, and his grandsons, who loved their “Poppatop” so much, Dawson, Lincoln, and Landon.

As he always said, “It’s not goodbye, it’s I’ll see you later.”

A memorial service will be held August 12, 2023 at Gaylordsville United Methodist Church, 685 Kent Road, Gaylordsville, CT at 11:00 am.
