Obituary of Lucille Reynolds
Our loving and dedicated mother, Lucille Frances Drace Reynolds, age 96, and a longtime resident of Grant-Valkaria, FL, died peacefully on July 20, 2023, while under the precious and professional care of William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL.
Born in Green Bay, WI on September 25, 1926, Luci was the daughter of Leonard and Dorothy Drace and raised in Cooperstown, WI. She had a younger brother, Gene.
Growing up in Wisconsin made her a life-long, die-hard Green Bay Packer’s fan and proud cheesehead.
Luci met her future husband, Leo, in Long Beach, California where he was stationed in the Navy. They married in 1949 and traveled to many military bases and ports, eventually retiring in Key West, FL in 1968.
A deeply private person, Luci, devoted her life to being a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed being with her family, cooking, sewing, crocheting, quilting, traveling, walking, and participating in 5K’s. Her motto was: “Keep on Moving” and she did just that.
Luci was also a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She served several years with the St. Vincent DePaul-Food Distribution Center. She loved the Lord and He was her guiding Light.
Our mom is survived by her six (6) children, Mike Reynolds (Connie) Homosassa Springs, FL, Steve Reynolds (Teresa) Melbourne, FL, Maureen Reynolds Garrigus (Greg) Pace, FL, Diane Reynolds Girdley (Scott) Grant-Valkaria, FL, Jeff Reynolds (Gladys) Sebastian, FL, Greg Reynolds (Ellen) Glendale, MO; 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
