Condolences to Joan and the Pappas family. So sorry to hear of this news. What a wonderful doctor and friends of my family for over 60 years. My mom Dorothy and dad Capt Jim Ragone told me I was the last baby Dr.Pappas delivered at Osteopathic General. There is to many stories to talk about. May you be at peace.

It was such an honor to take care of Arthur as one of his nurses in the SICU. In the short amount of time I took care of him, I heard all about his life, family, and travels. From fishing to his own patients, you could tell he lived to the absolute fullest in everything he did. He was so proud of his family and I was fortunate enough to meet some of them along the way. Arthur and his family have a special place in my heart and I wish you all a sense of peace during this time of healing.

Dr. Pappas was a truly amazing man! As a close friend of Stephanie’s , I spent a lot of time at the Pappas home growing up. Such a wonderful family… I have so many fond memories of being around Dr. and Mrs. Pappas. They were like parents to me in many ways, and I loved being around them. Dr. Pappas was kind, fun, and so interesting. I so appreciate the hospitality they showed me and feeling like a part of their family. Dr. Pappas was a great man and the world is a better place in many ways because he was in it.

Our condolences to the entire Pappas family. Art was a wonderful, warm and generous neighbor who often shared his fish catches with us---perfectly filleted, of course. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren, along with his wife, Joan.
The pictures that were shared capture his spirit. We will miss him. Rest in peace,Art.

Uncle Art, I will miss you. Some of my best memories are my visits to Florida as a kid. Going to the beach, hunting for snakes with Cliff & Gary, boat rides on the intercoastal with the Pappas Clan. But my favorite memory is fishing with you in The Keys. Fishing the bycatch chum line behind the shrimp boats with light tackle. That's when I fell in love with fishing. And now you sit in the presence of the greatest fisherman to ever walk the earth. He filled the disciples nets on the Sea of Galilee. He fishes for men’s hearts and souls. And what a fish tale you have to share with him! Tight lines Uncle Art, I’ll see you in paradise.

Dr.Pappas was so very special to me. He played a major role in my childhood development. . He and Joan exposed me to several sports; they taught me to swim, to swing a racket, to catch a softball and they introduced me to soccer. I had no idea how special this man would become to me when Cliff and I became friends at age 4.
Art has been part of my life for 60 years and his passing leaves a deep hole in my heart. He was like a second father to me, and I am who I am today because of his influence in my life.

Arthur was one of the kindest souls I know ! He was my doctor for many many years and family to myself and my family as well !! No matter what time of day , he was always able to be reached . I remember lots of wonderful stories but one I will always remember was when we went out on the boat and I jumped into the water and right in front of me was a baracuta , I swam so fast back to the boat and Arthur kept saying to me calm down , not gonna get you . Did everyone on the boat have a laugh . Arthur, rest in peace . Will always love and miss you !
