Obituary of Gail Elizabeth Evans

Gail Elizabeth Evans, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend died peacefully on July 5, 2023, in Melbourne, Florida.

Gail was born January 21,1943 in Los Angeles, California to Jack and Susan Gleason. She spent the majority of her well-lived life as a resident of San Diego. A true California girl, Gail loved the beach, hiking, travel, and exploring new places. Gail received her Bachelor of Education from San Jose State University where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She received her Master of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of San Diego.  Gail taught elementary school in Oceanside, CA for over 25 years, touching the hearts and minds of her many students. A lifelong Catholic, Gail is also remembered for her service to God and the church.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters Jennifer Evans Healy and Mary Coggshall (Keith), her grandchildren Kendall and Jacob, her nieces and nephews, and her many friends. A memorial will be held later this fall in California.
