The death of someone you love is always hard, but for those of us that we’re blessed to have, Granny, in our lives we know she lived a very full life. We have all heard her many stories about growing up on the farm. From the struggles to the happy tales of climbing trees, the box her father made for the sweet potatoes, and eating figs picked straight off the trees. We listened as she would light up talking about sitting in in bed with her siblings and mother reading books. We’d watch her laugh talking about the neighbor's dog stealing a shoe, and the family playing a prank on the pastor with the Bible trivia game. She shared with us tales about being an air-force wife and all her adventures with Papa. I think We’d all agree that Granny was the best wife, mother, grandmother, Auntie, and great grandmother ever. Granny was always there when you needed her, a kind soul who believed in God and a heaven. So even though death is sad, we can take comfort in knowing granny is in a better place. Putting the pieces to her puzzle together or birdwatching from the clouds above.
This is not goodbye, it’s see you later Granny.
