Obituary of Sue Lynne Copeland Wall
Sue Lynne Copeland Wall, 84, of Malabar, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Sue was born in Huntington, West Virginia on May 11, 1939 to the late Lillian Smithson and William Marshall Copeland.
Sue graduated from Huntington East High School in 1957 and graduated with an associate degree in science from Marshall University in 1960.
Sue and a good friend, Marilyn Rule Bradley, headed for Florida on a whim in June of 1960; they were employed by Martin-Orlando (now Lockheed Martin). This was where Sue met her husband, William “Bill” Baxter Wall.
Sue and Bill moved to Titusville where she worked for International Business Machines Corporation during the exciting years at the Cape, 1965-68. They then moved to Melbourne, and she went to work for Radiation (now L3 Harris). Sue retired from Radiation/Harris Semiconductor/Intersil after 32 years of service.
Sue learned to scuba dive, as well as becoming a pretty good offshore fishing partner. She designed her home and had it built on her land in Valkaria, FL. Her favorite hobby was stained glass projects.
Sue made many friends during her years in Florida. Her closest relatives are cousins scattered across the U.S. in Georgia, along the East Coast and in California.
Sue’s love for dogs and fish were well known to her friends.
Per Sue’s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be a “Celebration of Life” that will take place at a later date.
