Obituary of James S. Guy, III
James “Jay” Samuel Guy III of Melbourne, Florida passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at the age of 67, on June 9,2023. Born in Panama City, Florida on May 25, 1956, Jay loved nothing more than spending time in his boat, fishing with his buddies on Florida’s waterways. He enjoyed golf, talking Georgia Bulldog football, and hanging out with his dog Chubb. Jay was a good man with devoted friends, because he was a loyal and true friend who was consistently kind to everyone that he came in contact with. He was reliable and steady, and could be counted on by his family and friends in Georgia and Florida. He had a forty-year career at Rockwell Collins, Inc.
He was predeceased by his parents James Samuel Guy Jr. and Ruby Williams Guy of Panama City, Florida.
He is survived by his sister Margaret Faye Guy of Marietta, Georgia, his beloved dog Chubb, ten first cousins, and devoted and caring friends: Tom, Mary, Mike, and Delores.
Private memorial services will be conducted by family and friends at a later date.
