Obituary of Edwin "Ed" Smith
Edwin “Ed” Smith, 70 of Cocoa, Fl peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus on 6/20/2023, with JoJeana, his wife of 51 years at his side. His family visited him in the days prior to his passing. Ed loved life, he was full of joy and laughter, always optimistic, loving and kind to others.
Ed was such a strong man of faith. He fought through pain for many years with the help of the Lord. He reflected the love of Jesus in his life and testified of God’s miraculous power that brought him through his accident in 2010.
In Ed’s lifetime, he worked in various careers; construction, sales, management, and trucking. A loyal and hardworking family man, he gave 100% all the time. Ed loved his family and spent time coaching the kids in baseball, teaching them various life skills, and how to have fun. He was always laughing, and others couldn’t help but join in with him.
Ed is survived by his wife, JoJeana; children Lesli (Jason) Pierce, Pete Smith, Aubrey (Jason) Greene; 8 grandchildren, Abbiegale Smith, Megan Pierce, Daycee Smith, Tyler Pierce, Wyatt Smith, David Greene, Riley Greene, Garrett Smith; sisters Kathy (Ken) Uplinger, Betty Smith; sisters-in-law Tyra (Tom) Brown, Nancy (Kirk) Cunningham; several nephews and nieces; and wonderful friends.
A celebration of Ed's life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Paran N. Chapel 1700 Allgood Rd NE Marietta, Ga.
