Obituary of Dorothy A. Neagle
Dorothy A Neagle, 94, of Melbourne, FL and originally from Rome, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2023 after a brief illness.
She was a graduate of Emerson College, and was a speech pathologist for the Brockton, MA school systems. After retiring to Florida, she loved to read and travel. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Dorothy was predeceased by her father, George J. Ahles, Sr., mother, Anna May Noonan Ahles, a sister, Ruth Dorn, and a brother George J. Ahles, Jr. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Charlotte A Ahles of Appomattox, VA , two nieces, Lynda L. Ahles of Appomattox, VA, Patricia & Gregg Slaughter of Charlotte, NC, a nephew, Mark & Kim Ahles of San Antonio, TX, and several cousins and great nephews and a great niece.
A private memorial and celebration of life will be held in the near future. The family thanks the staff at Life Care Center of Palm Bay and the hospice staff of St. Francis Reflections for the love and care shown to Dorothy during her final weeks. Thank you to Kim Johnston for looking in on Dorothy over the last several years. A special thank you to Father Bob of Holy Trinity and the congregation for all the support they have shown Dorothy over the years and for the support to the family during the time in need.
