Obituary of John G. Sanborn

John Goetter Sanborn died May 12th, 2023, at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida after a brief illness. John was born October 3rd, 1948, in Batavia, NY to John Tracy Sanborn and Alice Goetter Sanborn. John graduated from Batavia high school in 1966, attended Ithaca College, and completed an associate degree. Then, went on to start a decades-long career across several industries, sales, retail, and travel. He got his start with selling business machines for Pitney Bowes moving onto software sales with the Harrington Group. He then transitioned into retail merchandising and rounded out his work life by becoming a travel industry worker at Port Canaveral for both the park and cruise operations.

John had many interests in his life. He loved fishing, boating, airshows, and sunny warm Florida. John loved watching the news, he loved his sons and his sisters and loved talking to his dear sister Lyn each morning.

John is survived by his three sisters, Margaret (Don) Pennings of Marine on St. Croix, MN, Charlotte (Robert) Pierce of Baden, PA, and Carolyn (Bob) Kiehl of Akron, NY, numerous nieces and nephews, his sons Steve Knight (Jamie Martin) of Savannah, GA, Michael (Jennifer) Sanborn of Winchendon, MA and John Murray (Aly) Vozzola of Davie, FL and his grandchildren Jeremiah Green, Cooper Sanborn and Aria Vozzola.
