Obituary of Nancy Ruth Stewart

Nancy Ruth Stewart, 72, born on March 28, 1951, in Waycross, GA, died unexpectedly on April 16, 2023, at Palm Bay Hospital.  The family is shocked & deeply saddened by her sudden death.

Nancy is survived by her loving children Brandy Hawkins (Carlos), Glenda "Nikki" Knudsen (Jared), and Thomas Wayne Spitz (Cortney). “ Forever cherished and remembered by her ten grandchildren Jaila, Jamay, Victoria, Kiasha, Khalid, Abel, Cheyenne, Emma, Urijah, Cavan; two great-grandchildren, Alice and Roman, beloved sister of James Stewart (Cheryl).  Her loving memory lives on with her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her hobbies included annoying her grandchildren and playing solitaire.

She took an active role in the lives of her grandchildren teaching them valuable life lessons by sharing her strong values. Nancy was loved by everyone mostly due to her love of others and positive energy.  She loved her dog Lily and always found time to help others.  Her legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we should always love unconditionally. We choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love & service like Christ modeled for us. 

There are no words that can express how grateful we are to our church family who were there for us in time of need. We are truly blessed to have your support.

Nancy was predeceased by her father Benjamin Franklin Stewart, Sr., mother Frannie Ruth Godwin, and brother, Benjamin Franklin Stewart, Jr.
