Obituary of Barbara (Bobbie) Thompson

Barbara (Bobbie) Thompson Hinkle, 70, of Melbourne, FL passed away on Wednesday, April 12th at her residence.

Born March 15, 1953, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late William and Jane Marzella Thompson.

Barbara loved her family and her dogs. She was involved in multiple dog rescues, with a soft spot for those that had been mistreated and abused. She also enjoyed long hours in the kitchen preparing large, Italian meals or trying new dishes – gladly sharing her love of food and passion for cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wayne Thompson. 

Surviving family members are husband, Bill Hinkle, sister Kathy Lee of New Jersey, sister-in-law Sabina Thompson of New Jersey, step-children and their families - Christine and Ryan Stephan of Naperville, IL, Teri and Joe Stevens of Elliott City, MD and Michael Hinkle and Nerissa Tony of Lewisburg, WV, grandchildren Jacob, Lucas, Rhett and Satya, Goddaughter and niece Meghan Atkins of New Jersey, niece Jessica and AJ Napolitano of New Jersey, nephew Jason and Meredith Spangler of Texas, great niece and nephew Janie and Dean.

Barbara’s memory will be honored privately with toes in the sand.
