Obituary of (Nell) Rebecca Michaels

(Nell) Rebecca Michaels, 94, of Melbourne, Florida passed away, Sunday, April 9, 2023.

Rebecca was born Nov. 11, 1928, in Kathleen, Georgia to Barnette and Emma Hunt.

A homemaker and long-time resident of Melbourne, she enjoyed sewing, cake decorating, and candy making. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Melbourne.

Rebecca is survived by her daughters Bonnie Doss of Melbourne and Paula Michaels of Palm Bay; daughter-in-law Lillian White of Perry, Fl.; Grandchildren Josh Doss of Grand Junction, Co., Kelly Mangino of Sarasota, Fl. and Leslie Brown of Greensboro, NC. Additionally, she had four great-grandchildren, Mason Mangino, Wylder Mangino, Nolan Brown, and Carson Brown.

She was preceded in death by her husband John E Michaels, son Ernest Peacock and son John D. Michaels.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 19 at 11 AM at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care Melbourne Chapel. The interment will be at Florida Memorial Gardens.
