Obituary of Donna E. Ostrom
Donna E. Ostrom was born to the late Willard and Marjorie Dexter on October 22, 1942. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 8, 2023. She was an active woman surrounded by lots of friends and family.
While raising her five children, Donna ran four businesses including but not limited to a diesel tow truck yard, heavy-duty junkyard, taxi service, and worked at H&R Block as a district manager. Always an active person she also sold Sarah Covenington and Friendly. In her community, Donna was selfless when helping others. Donna was a La Sous Presidente for the 40\8 division of the American Legion in NY. She also raised money for vests for children with Cystic Fibrosis. Through her church, Donna went on a missionary trip to build a school and church for needy children in Honduras. When she wasn’t traveling to help those in need, she was traveling for herself. Her love of travel took her to Alaska, Greece, Ireland, and the Caribbean. Starting later in life than most, Donna had a hobby of painting. She painted in a variety of mediums. She sold her painted glass at craft fairs to people from around the world. Donna was dearly loved by those who knew her; friends and family alike.
