Obituary of Norma Anne (Dobbins) Eastman

Norma Anne (Dobbins) Eastman, age 80, passed away from skin cancer on Jan. 30, 2023, in Palm Bay, Fla. She was born Jan. 3, 1943, in Portland, Maine, the daughter of Thelma (Croswell) Dobbins and Richard R. Dobbins.

Norma attended Ellsworth High School, Ellsworth, and graduated from Deering High School, Portland, Maine, Class of 1961. She was employed as a one-way traffic controller at Ryder Truck Rental, South Portland, Maine, retiring in the 1980s. As a hobby, she enjoyed tole painting, gifted friends with her art, and participated in craft fairs with her sister.

In 1998, Norma and her husband, Walter, moved from South Casco, Maine, to Palm Bay, Fla.

Norma is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Walter R. Eastman; stepdaughter Carol L. Eastman of Palm Bay, Fla.; stepson James E. Eastman and wife, Terry, of Forney, Texas; nieces Jennifer L. Wheeler and Ginger Wentworth of Scarborough; cousin Doris Lesitor of Winnetka, Calif.; cousin Maya Jean of San Bernadino, Calif.; and special friends Donna A. Ingalls of Ellsworth and Sandra G. Nickerson of Cumberland.

Norma was predeceased by her parents and sister, Donna M. (Dobbins) Wheeler. As per Norma’s wishes, there will be no service.
