Obituary of Rita Patricia Singleton

Rita Patricia Singleton, 79, of Melbourne Beach, FL., passed away on December 29, 2022, at Holmes Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Rita was born in Jacksonville, FL to Grover and Melba Hatton on September 16, 1943. She is survived by her daughter Trisha Sorrell (Tom); son Dan Singleton (Lisa); step-daughter Julie Cummings (Mike); grandchildren Brittany Markwith (Zachary), Quintin Singleton (Savannah), Lauren Callahan (Shawn), Mason Singleton, Trent Sorrell, Wesley Singleton, Trevor Sorrell, and Laila Singleton; and her great-granddaughter May Singleton. Rita is also survived by her sisters Carolyn Holly and Cindi Gardner (Ken) as well as her brother Michael Hatton (Arlinda) and sister-in-law Tanise Gissendaner.

She was preceded in death by her parents Grover and Melba Hatton, her brother Kenneth Hatton and her loving husband Cliff Singleton.

A celebration of life will be held at Rock Harbor Church (1805 Oak Street, Melbourne Beach) on January 21, 2023 at 2pm.
