Obituary of Marie Lourdes Pelletier (LaBrie)

Marie "Lourdes" Pelletier (LaBrie), age 72 of Melbourne, Florida (formerly of Berlin, CT and Fort Kent, ME) passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.

Lourdes was born in Fort Kent, Maine on November 16, 1949 to Pierre and Laurette (Ouelette) LaBrie. She graduated from Fort Kent Community High School and later met her husband, Ronald Pelletier, in Connecticut, where they raised their family and were married for 51 years. She retired 6 years ago UConn Medical Center in Farmington, CT before moving to Melbourne, Florida.

She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, shopping, going to the beach, crocheting, watching her "programs" and playing games on the computer.

Lourdes is survived by her husband as well as her daughter Karen DeZinno and her husband Michael of East Hampton, CT; her son Shawn Pelletier and his wife Erin of Willington, CT; four grandchildren, Michael and Anthony DeZinno of East Hampton, CT and Carter and Sydney Pelletier of Willington, CT. She is also survived by her brother George LaBrie (Christine) of Clearwater, FL; sister Virginia Thomoas (Jose) of East Windsor, CT; and her brother Gerard (Terry) of Bristol, CT. She was predeceased by her father and mother, as well as her 3 brothers, Jean Claude, Patrick LaBrie, and Leo LaBrie and her sister Jeanette Voisine.

Calling hours will be held between 8:00 and 10:00 A.M. with a funeral mass at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 25, at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care in Melbourne, FL. A burial will follow at 11:30 A.M. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US 1, Mims, Florida.
