My Uncle Joe was a larger than life cherished loved one in my life. He, Aunt Vicky, David and Susan spent every holiday with us whether it be at our house in Madison or theirs in Rockford. My fondest memories are when we would all get together visiting - with the best smell of roasts cooking on the grill that he would make. My dad and he were always up to something...many times playing pool in our basements. He would stop and take the time to teach me things that he would notice that I was interested in that he was doing. Playing pool, stuff in his workshop, watching wrestling, home improvement and how to take care of the camper. A very smart and caring father figure. Growing up would not have been the same without him.
I am lucky to have him as my Uncle and I miss him greatly.
