Obituary of Frederick Martin Hackett

Mr. Hackett, a long-time central Florida resident, passed away peacefully in his Merritt Island home on Monday, August 8th, 2022.

Mr. Hackett was born in Brooklyn, NY, and was the son of Fred and Mae Hackett. He had a love of music and in his early years played in a band. As a young man he served in the Army. He was a man of many talents, working in the automotive industry, working with his brother as a cabinet installer, and in later years working at M & B Golf Carts of Cocoa, FL as a highly skilled golf cart technician.

Mr. Hackett is survived by his two sons Fred Hackett of Hixson, TN and David (Jennifer) Hackett of Cocoa, FL; a brother Gary (Linda) Hackett and sister Valerie (Bob Devlin) both of Cocoa, FL; grandchildren and greats; many nieces and nephews; and his devoted partner of 15 years Janet Moore. A son Scott, his parents and a great-granddaughter preceded him in death.

Services are being handled by Ammen Funeral Home in Melbourne, FL and burial will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Scottsmoor, FL. Online condolences can be made at www.afcfcare.com
