Obituary of Jo Anne Quick

Jo Anne Keene-Steele-Quick, loving wife of the late Leonard Randolph Quick (Randy) passed away at Viera Del Mar Health and Rehab Center in Viera, Florida on July 14, 2022. She was 86 years old.

Jo Anne was born on February 3, 1936 in Michigan City, Indiana to Bernard and Frances Keene (Tomaszewski).

Jo Anne was a graduate of Thornton Fractional North High School Class of 1953. There she participated in G.A.C. She worked as a stock girl at National Tea Company where she met her children's father, Reuben Steele. They married in 1954. 

She met her second husband, golf pro, Randy Quick, at Lakes of The 4 Seasons. She spent time with Randy going out for dinner and traveling to weekend golfing Pro-Ams.

Jo Anne is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Randolph Quick (Randy); her son, Gregory Paul Steele; her grandchildren, Heather Steele, Sonya Loss, Daniel Van Alstine, Jaden Steele, and Michael Steele; her mother and father, Bernard and Frances Keene (Tomaszewski); and her siblings, Carl Keene, Richard Keene, and Jacqueline (Sis) Bilka.

Jo Anne is survived by her brother, Daniel Keene of Laporte, Indiana; and her children, Donald (Gayle) Steele, Suzanne Charity, Karen (Rod) Householder, and Ronald Steele (Melanie). She is also survived by her grandchildren; Derek and Sean Steele, Jamie Nissen (Kristina), Shannon Spreitzer (Eric), Brandi (Jeremy) Ingram, Megan (John) Nicholson, Nicholas Steele (Angelica), Christina Steele, Johnathan Steele, Timothy Steele (Mary Anne), Susan (Steve) Treptow, Chantilly (Ricardo) Patino, Melissa (Carl) Loss, Brad (Kayla) Steele, Blake Steele, Ashlyn Steele, and Derrick Steele (Whitney).

Jo Anne was also a great-grandmother to 31 and a great-great-grandmother to 2. 

Jo Anne was passionate about helping others. To help keep her memory alive, donations can be made in her honor to a few of her favorite charities; ASPCA and to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
