Obituary of Curtis Christopher Olive
In loving memory of Chris Olive 1967-2022. Chris, 54, of Cocoa Beach, FL passed away on July 2, 2022.
Chris was well known for his generous and loving heart. He was kind and compassionate and had the privilege of assisting other veterans in need. He was a passionate fisherman and gardener. He loved his family above all else. He was born in Mobile, Alabama on September 16, 1967 to Jerelyn Spires (Crister) and Curtis Andrew Olive. He graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in 1986. He graduated from Florida Technical College in 1993 from which he earned a degree allowing him to pursue his passion of computer sciences. He went on to open up a Macintosh retail facility. Chris loved fishing and on any given day, if the weather permitted, you would find him with a hook or net in the water. He loved to tinker as well and was known in his youth to disassemble and reassemble everything electronic; sometimes they even worked again.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Curtis and Doris Olive (Papa and Mamaw); father, Curtis Andrew Olive; aunt, Peggy; and maternal grandmother, Lucille Spires.
He is survived by his maternal grandfather, James Reid Spires; uncles, James, Keith and Jimmy Spires; mother, Jerelyn Spires Critser and her husband RMC Col. Ronald Critser; children, Daniel Olive and Jordan Olive; grandchildren, Olivia and Hayden; and sisters, Debi McCutcheon and Cathy Hudler and their families.
