Obituary of Gloria Carlo

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Carlo, 87 years old. She was born on Flag Day June 14, 1935 in New York City to the late Angel and Luz Miranda. She was married to the late Fred Carlo.

She was blessed with three other siblings Nancy Claudio, Sylvia Perez, and Angelo Miranda and their children. Gloria was blessed to have four children Lucy Alvarez, Fred Carlo, John David Carlo, and John Anthony Carlo. She is also blessed to have six grandchildren Corey Alvarez, Tiffany Carlo, Shane Alvarez, Amanda Carlo Keating, JD Carlo, and Jessica Carlo Carson. Her even greater blessing was to have five great-grandchildren Audrey Nicole Carlo, Chloe Williams, Easton Alvarez, Isabella Alvarez, and Gabriel Alvarez.

Her greatest pride and joy was her immediate and extended family. She loved to entertain and cook for her family and friends. She enjoyed helping my father run their deli. She was a nurse at a NY foundling hospital to help with fostered and battered children. She was a foster parent to many children she had hoped to adopt. She loved music, reading, puzzles, fishing with her husband and children, sitting and listening to the sounds of the ocean, and she loved to laugh.

We will celebrate her life after Mass. The service will be held Saturday July 9, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. noon at Our Lady of Grace at 300 Malabar Road Palm Bay, Florida 32907.
