Obituary of Joyce Imster

Joyce Imster, 88, died Thursday, April 28, 2022 after a prolonged illness. Born in Olin, Iowa on the family farm on May 22, 1933. She was the youngest of 7 children. She married Martin Imster in 1951 and moved to Cocoa in 1958. She worked as a secretary at the YMCA and for multiple contractors at Kennedy Space Center. She was a member of Cocoa Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years, served as a Deacon and Elder. She enjoyed her membership in the Women's Church Circle and also volunteered at retirement homes with her husband.

Joyce was a loving and devoted wife to Marty for 64 years and even let him beat her at a round of golf occasionally. She was a loving mother of four children - Suanne George, Crystal Morrow, and was preceded in death by Randy Imster and Gary Imster. She had 4 beautiful grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great- grandchild...all of whom she adored.
